Things here have been a bit hectic around here, with some medical and family problems, not mine personally, but I am still dealing with the after effects from the chemo and radiation. And also, some domestic issues, of which all have been taken care of here and there, but taking some time away from wrapping up this book project.
The lady who is doing the photography and computer work, now only comes to the house one day a week, on Sundays, and that is only for 6 hours at a time. The last two months, it really got slow, with her showing up only about two times a month. Am trying to get that rectified now.
At this time, I am working on a prototype book, meaning, printing out in color, every page we have laid out so far on the computer, like 1,495 of them, on Kodak color glossy card stock paper. This work started about ten weeks ago, and I must say, it is really looking good. As the pages are being printed, they can be filed into the chapters where they belong, for when we started taking photographs, she did not label each photo, and did not know where to file some of them, which is what I am doing now. With this email, there will be showing a few photo's of the work in progress. As it looks now, about six to seven hundred more pages are to be proofed, then to the computer for page layouts, then collated into the others that are finished, and from there, proof check one more time, number the pages, copy onto a disk, and off to the printer's.
So all I can say is to please bear with me, for this project turned out too big to handle and finish quickly, plus some other roadblocks taking time away to get it done. But when it is finally wrapped up, you all will be very pleased. I just wish you could be looking now as the pages are being printed out, like looking at my first book.
New info, if you do not already know, all who are on my list now, with their deposits, will be saving a bit of money, for the new buyers, when the books are with me, will be paying a higher price. Also, I am really trying to push this project to the end, before the year is out.
Best regards,
Leon
